I purchase the Preview Magazine monthly ever since September for a lot of reasons and the corner where they talk about influential designers is my most favorite part. Not only is it inspirational for aspiring designers but it motivates us to be better because we have people to look up to.  I knew about the designer Cary Santiago because of the article in the magazine. Reading it moved me to pursue this passion that I am beginning to love. The article together with the photos of the designer's work made me think about what the industry would be like if I'd choose to pursue it seriously someday like being able to build my name in the industry. So when I was talking to my boss the other day and mentioned the name of the designer, she handed me an invitation card to the opening of this event but it was already around 5:30pm when it came up but I didn't want to lose the chance of seeing the work I admired so much when I saw it in the magazine.
