Why volunteer work doesn't feel like work

The Rotary Club of Midtown Butuan celebrated their 5th Anniversary in Brgy. Libertad through conducting Dental, Medical, and Feeding activities in the community.



Since my aunt and my mother are members of the organization, I was invited to take part in the event. ^_^ 



It's volunteer life all over again for me but this time I had a chance to experience being a part of an event which served my fellow Butuanons.





I hope that I would get to experience more activities like this. I'm happy and blessed to have been invited as this happened when I came back to Butuan after passing the CPA boards. <3

Experience Thailand

November 2017. Our flight to Thailand was my first ever early flight as I've always preferred to travel in the evening so I can enjoy the city lights and see how beautiful places are. We opted to have the early flight so we can have more time to tour around the country as soon as we arrive. Airbnb was helpful for this international flight as we were able to book in Sutee's place in a convenient and affordable way. Fortunately, the staffs whom we met at his place were Filipinos and they also speak Cebuano.😊 So it was easy to communicate and get instructions to where we were going since we didn't purchase a simcard. 😁✌️ I even had the time to watch Produce 101. ❤️ (At the lobby 😊) On our first day, we spent time in Siam. I am writing this blog while listening to the song entitled, "Thinking Out Loud" by Ed Sheeran. I don't know why I've played it for like 5 times now and I can't help but listen to the message of the song and think about the music video. I don't know what to write about as writing a new year's resolution is just too mainstream. I was planning to write about my year but I guess it's just too boring. So, I think I'd share to you the things that I am thankful for and the things that I am planning to do for the coming year. I purchase the Preview Magazine monthly ever since September for a lot of reasons and the corner where they talk about influential designers is my most favorite part. Not only is it inspirational for aspiring designers but it motivates us to be better because we have people to look up to.  I knew about the designer Cary Santiago because of the article in the magazine. Reading it moved me to pursue this passion that I am beginning to love. The article together with the photos of the designer's work made me think about what the industry would be like if I'd choose to pursue it seriously someday like being able to build my name in the industry.
