Experience Hong Kong Day 0-1

Hong Kong is definitely an experience that I wouldn't ever forget. This trip and tour abroad has been my gift to my mother since I started working here in Metro Manila. So, in this blog entry I will share to you what went through the trip just in case you plan to travel to Hong Kong.
We availed of a Hong Kong tour which costs around Php 8,000/head inclusive of breakfasts at McDonalds, three nights worth of accommodations and airport transfers. The airfare that we were able to book last July which was already a roundtrip ticket costs us around Php 4,000/head.
Day 0- started out on a Sunday morning at NAIA Terminal 3. Since our flight was scheduled at 4pm, we had time to relax and wait. It was a hot sunny day for a plane ride and OOTD photos! :D

Arrival time in Hong Kong was 6pm. I can't help but fall for the city lights of this place. We stayed in a hotel in Kwun Tong on the 30F so this view of the city is for the win!

Day 1- It's the first day of our Hong Kong Tour so here goes what went through.

1. Golden Bauhinia Square and the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre

The Bauhinia is an emblem of Hong Kong which was a gift from the Central Government to mark the 1997 Handover. The Bauhinia was really big and gold! The tour guide could take a photo of you here which they could place in a plate that you could purchase at the end of the trip but it was too expensive (200 HKD)! At the back of the Golden Bauhinia Square is the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. So, this area is right in front of a bay where you could actually see how high the buildings in Hong Kong are.

2. Aberdeen Fishing Village
The Aberdeen Harbour in the Southern District is one of the fishing ports in Hong Kong. We took a boat ride around the harbour.

We passed through this floating restaurant in the middle.

However, nothing is free in this tour. We had to pay 60HKD for the boat ride around the area.

So, here's my mother and I together with the woman whom I guess owns this boat. You could purchase souvenirs while riding the boat.

3. Hong Kong Jewelry Shop
We had the chance to buy jewelry from Hong Kong and guess what, I won a ruby stone from the shop. :D Famous people like Manny Pacquiao visited this place and purchased something here so his photo is up on their wall.

4.  Souvenir Shop
Our next stop was a souvenir shop in Tsim Sha Tsui in Hong Kong. You could buy three for 100 HKD here for almost anything. You could also taste the product first before you make a purchase. If you wish to purchase chocolates, hopia and etc., you could definitely see a store selling these items at a cheap price.

5. Disneyland
Now who would go to Hong Kong without experiencing Hong Kong Disneyland and personally see your childhood dreams come to life?! So, our last stop was Disneyland. It took us almost an hour from the Souvenir Shop that we were at to arrive here.

To survive in Hong Kong and most especially in Disneyland, you need a map to be able to know what is in store for you and how to get to where you want to go. However, for our case we went to all the places inside Disneyland :D There's food and souvenir inside so you could just purchase there.

(At the Disneyland City Hall)

We were right in time for the parade too!

This is where my cousin and I started to take photos of the parade when a girl spoke to my cousin in Chinese and she just smiled because she didn't understand what the girl said. I don't know why but perhaps we were able to blend in and not look like a tourist. :D

Every girls dream when we were kids. To live like princesses in a big castle.

I've met with young Jedi's in training...

...and Darth Varder himself!

Got to see what's on the other side of the castle.

Met princesses in the forest.

and listened to their songs.

It's my mother and I enjoying the forest.

Remember Tangled? <3

Visited Toy Story land where everything is big!

Yes, everything is big!

Look!

Aliens!

Got thrown in jail with my cousin Meryl at the Wild West.

We were able to ride a boat around the jungle but unfortunately we weren't able to climb the tree house.

Went on a night out with the villains.

Pure evil!

...and the lights were...

Tried to pole too :D

Unfortunately, we missed the fireworks display but this one is for keeps :)

Stay tuned on my next blog to know what went through our Day 2 and 3 trip in Hong Kong!
